Unscheduled Website downtime

Apologies that iFamily website and emails have been down for the past 3 days. My webhost got acquired and I was forcibly migrated to a new host, who appear to be incompetent in the highest order. (They only migrated the DNS and not the webhosting or email accounts.).

It is back up now and I will be migrating soon to a new host, hopefully on a more permanent basis, but some further downtime is expected.

Warwick.

I still can't get to the iFamily website from High Sierra but I can from El Capitan. What does this mean?

I can get to these forums from the iFamily app. ??????

Hi Phil,

Do you mean you can access the Forum from iFamilyforMac under macOS High Sierra but not directly?

I can only suggest that the URL you are using is incorrect as iFamily uses Safari with the following link:

http://www.ifamilyformac.com/forums/

Cannot think of any reason for the site not to be working under High Sierra but OK under El Capitan other than a corrupt URL or a cached version of the web page. It works fine here both ways.

Regards,

Nigel

Nigel

I cleared Safari history and the iFamily website came right up.

I finally managed to get the backup databases from my old web host, the forums are now active again and the data gap between December and February is back. (phew, what a lengthy journey).

The only thing still not recreated on the new webhost is the FTP server from where the updates were sourced. I'll either get it working again soon or I'll create a new method and notify everyone.
