Best field for estimated date?

I suggest that you record estimated dates as follows:
1. Enter an about date in the Date field - you can enter " c 1920" or " abt 1920" or " about 1920"
2. Add some comments in the Notes field to explain.

If my date of birth is between 1900 and 1902, how I write in birth field? I need to write some ranges of dates.
Thank you

I suggest that you enter abt 1901 for the Date and then explain in Notes why the date is not precise.ItalianGen wrote:Hi, I'm from Italy , excuse me for my limited english.

You can also enter it as about 1901 or c 1901 or circa 1901
Other approximate dates are before 1901 and after 1901 which van be shortened to bef and aft
