I notice that on ancestor chart there ends up being no difference in listing under a person's name a "spouse" who was not married, but produced a child and a married spouse, for whom I have not as yet entered the actual wedding date, but I know for a fact that the couple was married.
In both cases they just show up with a little Plus sign whereas in the cases where I have entered a wedding event an "m" indicates that.
Here is my question:
Is there a way for me to give married status to a couple without as yet knowing the date and the place of the actual event?

Hi Kirsten,
I think the only way you can do this is to enter something in the marriage field under the Family tab.
This can be the date or place (possibly a note) and don't forget to press enter.
The date could be abt 1800 or anything reasonable - before birth of first child if that date is known for example.
The location could be 'The Church'. Or just 'Marriage details unknown'.
Hope this helps.
