csv problems
Since you know the path to your file, how about simply trying to open up Excel and then opening this file (either by double-clicking or using the File menu). This should work, I believe.

Try GedView
One tool that you can use with an iPad is GedView. As the name implies, it is meant as a means of viewing a gedcom file (that you can import in a variety of ways.) You may have noticed that a competitor announced yesterday an iPad app that can also be used as a means to enter or edit data, then sync...

Re: looks fine
I did appreciate the bug fix where the focus was lost when children were added. (In last version, after typing name and gender, the focus of the cursor was lost.) I spoke too soon about the squashed bug. If you have an Active Source set to some source, select the Family tab in the middle (formerly ...

No, I'm sure Apple planned the iPad2 release for Keith's birthday too. I hope this release provides some confidence to our customers that updates are continuing for iFamily. I am sure your father would be honored to have this coincide with his bday. Also, I agree with your focus on showing iFamily ...

looks fine
The new version looked fine from what testing I did. I did appreciate the bug fix where the focus was lost when children were added. (In last version, after typing name and gender, the focus of the cursor was lost.) Your timing for a potential release has nothing to do with something else being rele...

Without the names in the filenames it makes it more difficult for users to search through their output HTML files and locate a particular identity if they wish to edit the information. The pages have greater utility if they are navigable in Finder is all. ww. I think that the value of truly preserv...

Re: Change "Living or Recently Deceased" tag
Is there any way to change "Living or Recently Deceased" in the graphic of the HTML to say "Living". I am generating the HTML with the LorRD option so that I can still show the layout of the tree and still allow navigation, however it is amazing how many of my family have taken offence that they ar...

Re: Royal Tree
Maybe I was unclear or maybe I am missing something. I have to open the program before I can open or select (double click) the file that I want, but as soon as I open the program, the Royal Tree opens. I do not want the Royal Tree to open at startup or ever. Thanks No, if you are in the Finder, sin...

If you start up by double-clicking on the file of choice, this will be remembered the next time that you start up by opening iFamily directly.Barb wrote:How do I stop/disable the Royal Tree from opening up every time I open the program

Re: end of the line
I have 2 relatives that it's suspected that each had 3 children. How to show that?? Any help here?? I have been using a beta version that Keith was working on before he died that allowed one to add a measure (value) of certainty for an event such as a child being connected to a parent. Thus, you...

I used Sources to enter my Source. I now notice in Events the source # is not there. When I click in the source column in Events it opens up my sources list & allows me to put in a source #. When I go back to sources I now have 2 sources for the same event. Is there any way to avoid this besides do...

Re: Place Listings and Editing
For instance I have Knoxville, Knox County, Tennessee, USA for some instances and Knoxville, Tennessee, USA for some others and Knoxville, Knox, TN, USA for others. I would like to merge all the location names into Knoxville, Knox County, Tennesse, USA. It would be nice to be able to scan a listing...
