The generated file should be in /Users/"yourname"/iFamilyData and should be listed as "whatever-you-named-your-ifamily-file.GED

It appears that the only way to print the index is to create a CSV file and import that into a spread sheet program or maybe even a program such as TextWrangler. You will find this by clicking on the "Index" label on the main screen of iFamily.

When you generate a gedcom with iFamily the program lists the location of the file when the generation of the file is complete. I don't use MFT but I am assuming it is similar to other genealogy programs so there is probably a function for importing a gedcom into MFT.

You really only need one ftkSql file in Dropbox and the iFamily program file on each computer. Your photos can be treated the same way. If you and your wife have created separate trees then two separate database files seems appropriate.
