Nigel - thank you. I was able to get the .MOV file attached. It has no thumbnail image - just a blank box on the pictures tab with a title underneath it. Is there a way to add a thumbnail I wonder.
I'll try to change the audio file to something other than MP3 to see if I can get that to work.

Adding Music or Video files
I have a music file (family musician) in an MP3 format and a video file in .MOV format I wanted to add to a person in my tree.
Is there a way to add these files to the tree or another music or video format (I can convert them if needed)?
Thank you, Randy

Re: Different Data File location for each tree
Nigel - thank you for taking the time to review your settings and data directory. It looks like I will stick with using separate flash drives for any work I do for others. Easier to do that for now versus specialized photo file names and having to move them later. Maybe a future version could create...

Re: Different Data File location for each tree
Thanks Nigel - I really need everything self-contained in a separate Data Directory folder for each tree. I’m starting to do a genealogy service for others and want to give them the option to take the iFamily data file so they can do their own updates. I’m hoping this may get them to purchase iFamil...

Re: Different Data File location for each tree
Thanks Nigel - I have a couple of questions as to how you are using iCloud. 1 - what does the database directory path look like? Does it matter if the Macs used have different computer names? 2 - how do you have a different database directory for each tree when you connect? Doesn’t it still use the ...

Different Data File location for each tree
I use iFamily to help several families research their ancestors. To keep the photos from all being mixed together in one pictures folder I use a separate USB flash drive for each family tree. This also makes it easy for me to work on an iFamily tree on multiple computers by just inserting the flash ...

Mac OS X Lion
I have the GM (final beta) version of OS X Lion and iFamily does not work under Lion. It loads, but the section above the diagram does not show any of the buttons / drop down boxes.
I was wondering if you have access to the OS X Lion beta and are working on an update yet?
Thank you.

Generate HTML for a person and their ancestors only
I have a large iFamily database, but want to generate a HTML report for just one line (one person and all their ancestors). Is there a way to do this?
Thank you for your help.
