Okay, Mr. Wilson,
Here's another one for you...
I recently uploaded my iFamily-generated GEDCOM to WorldConnect.
I went to a random page to see what it looks like.
Here's where I went:
http://worldconnect.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/igm.cgi?op=GET& db=jss_pdb& id=I743
Note that there are two marriages for this person.
Note that the marriages are displayed out of order.
The 1787 marriage is displayed before the 1757 marriage.
When this same GEDCOM was exported from FTM and then uploaded, the marriages were in chronological order. (The notes came after the facts as well, but I think I can live with this.)
I have confirmed from the WorldConnect folks that they just take the GEDCOM as it is. So that means that iFamily changed the order of things. And that FTM exports data in chronological order.
Keith, can you confirm this? (You may still have both the FTM-generated and iFamily-generated GEDCOMs I sent you about something else.)
Thanks!

GEDCOM exports re-arranging dates?
Hi Jillaine,
There is no rule in the Gedcom 5.5 Specification regarding the order in which records should appear in a Gedcom file. I suggest that you ask the people supporting the target genealogy application to sort the data automatically or to give you a preference. In V2.336 the FAMS records within an INDI record are sorted by marriage date.

If this is so *and* if the target application displays the GEDCOM as it gets it, shouldn't the resulting display list the marriages in chrono. order? (or is v2.336 a later version than what I'm currently using? Again, I find myself not at home to check. If so, great, thanks, I look forward to this newer version.)
AND... there has been a long-standing effort on the part of users of WorldConnect to get it to display things in a particular order, but this effort has not resulted in any changes I think they're probably practicing the " keep it simple" philosophy and dealing with GEDCOMs as they get them.

V2.333 which is higher than your most recently released version, but not as high as the one you're about to release. -)
I look forward to the next one.
