Trouble generating reports

A couple of weeks ago, I got a new Mac which is running Leopard. I went to the update on iFamily and did all that it asked. Everything seemed to be running smoothly until yesterday. I tried to generate various reports only to be given an error message that such reports could not be made. This is the basic message that would receive:

Unable to create the file for the report output: /Users/carlsweatman/iFamilyForTigerData/Reports/Sweatman_DynastiesReport.rtf

Also, when I tried to save a diagram as a PDF, nothing would happen.

Any assistance in this regard would be much appreciated.

Regards,
-carl

This looks like a problem with your Mac rather than with iFamily.

1. Try repairing disk permissions using /Applications /Utilities /Disk Utility.app

2. Email me detailed information about your Mac such as Operating System and available disk space.

Hi clandiah

You shouldn't have any problems with a report if all is running well on your machine.

Have you got Neo Office? (It's free). Reports come out surprisingly well using that, and then printed as a PDF.
As you go to the print command, save to PDF in the bottom left hand corner.

I usually save to the desktop before I send to somebody and rarely have problems. )

Hi Carl

Please Quit from iFamily for Tiger

Delete the file called /Users/CarlSweatman/Library/Preferences/com.kswa.iFamilyForTiger.plist

Restart iFamily for Tiger

Use File -> Open to open your FtkSql database

Now try generating a Report

Does it now work OK?
