I collected many family photos and pictures before I found iFamily
When I drag any into the picture pane, they are duplicated.
I guess I should drag most into iFamily, and then delete the originals?

You can
1. Turn the duplication off by un-checking " Always Copy" in the Picture Editing dialog.
2. Disk space is now very inexpensive so leave " Always Copy" turned on.
A 500Gb drive costs about $200 which is about 40 cents per Gb.
So for 10,000 x 4 Mb images = 40Gb at 40 cents per GB the cost is about $16 of disk space.
You may be able to get cheaper drives. You may need to double the cost if you do full backups.

Hi Neville,
If you've got the originals in iPhoto you could always burn them onto a disc and then delete them from iPhoto - if anything tragic happens like you accidentally remove all your pictures from iFamily all you need do is restore the photos from the disc to iPhoto and copy them into iFamily again! )
