Hi Keith

Getting better and better is iFamily

would it be possible to be able to work out some way to find the day of the month when a person died or was born.
e.g. Sometimes the only information available is a photocopy or extract from a newspaper where they say so and so will be buried on Sunday. They will say date of death 18th May for instance. So to work out what the date of burial is it would be good to have a way of checking this out in the program of iFamily.

Cheers

Anne

Hi Anne

There are many web sites that perform this function. For instance try this one by Herb Weiner:

http://www.calwiz.com/calendar.cgi

I used calwiz to look for Sunday 18 May near 1900 and got

May 18 is on a Sunday in 1884, 1890, 1902, 1913, and 1919.

Is that what you want?

Should I add a menu item to iFamily for Tiger that allows the user to link to web pages like this? It would work like a web browser's bookmark function.

I think adding a website link in iFamily would be very helpful. :o
I often like to put down the Day of the Week for the event, usually in the notes along with other relevant material.

Thanks, I will try this site that you have given.

Cheers

Anne
