Two brothers marry two sisters:just discovered after input

Post by Flyingtiger » Sat Jan 03, 2009 8:57 pm

I began to enter one primary lineage and then research/build and post to iFamily their spouses names only to discover that two brothers of the primary family (on whom I have already posted a huge amount of info on) have married two sisters of another family on whom I have much less data posted to iFamily.
Having posted the primary brothers then connected each of the marrying sisters to the applicable primary brother, how do I connect the two sisters together in iFamily to their common parents in order to go further back from this family unit?
Hope this makes sense.

The easiest way I can think of is as follows :

1 Go into preferences, and make sure you have "Ghost Outlines" checked
2. Make one of the brothers the focal person and click on the "Father" and "Mother" ghost boxes to add parents
3. Make the other brother the focal person, then right click on him and select the "Attach an existing person as a parent" option and select the relevant person. Repeat this for the other parent.

Repeat for the sisters.

Hope this helps
