I already some time ago found an anomaly in the Find-function when using Scandinavian letters:
Example: my object's family name is Kärnä (Karna with two dots on each a). The "Index find" and "Find in names" work correctly if you use search words kär, kärn (in these cases a with two dots). But if you add the last vocal ä (a with two dots) such as in kärnä, then the search result is nul. If I remember correctly, the vocals å and ö (a with a circle, o with two dots) behave in the same way.
The problem is not a big one, but some times annoying when you forget the "rules".
