Changing root person

Is it possible to change the root person in the database and "renumber" all entries?

Hi William,

Renumbering the personal ID&#39s of entities is not possible with iFamily.

Does anyone know of another product that could do this? There&#39s always the manual option but that may be fraught with danger.

Depending what you want to renumber for, there are 2 options I can see that may be useful.

1. You can create an ancestral view of your person of interest. (Menu -> Project Views)

2. It is possible to add ahnentafel numbering to your database using iFamily. (Roman or Binary).

Some more information is available from Keith in this topic.

Warwick.

Renumbering personal ids

Thanks for the response.

I would be interested to know about adding ahnentafel numbering. That is really what I want to accomplish with "renumbering" and just didn&#39t see any reference to that.
