Saving and use of audio files

Post by Jeffery » Thu Dec 29, 2011 6:33 pm

Hello,
I used the search function to see if there was any information already available in the missing manual, FAQ's or member forum and did not find anything on this subject. I apologize if this information is available and I wasn't able to find it.

I am interested in saving an audio file I recorded using my iPhone voice memo device, which is saved in iTunes. I would like to save the audio file within iFamily, associated with a the person in my genealogy who is the source of the voice recording. Does iFamily have this functionality? If so where do I save the file inside the iFamily file on my computer and how do I activate or use that audio file in iFamily?
thanks very much,
Jeff

Hi Jeffrey,

You will be able to drag the audio file into the pictures panel and a copy will be saved the the iFamilyData/Pictures directory.

Documents such as rtf, doc and pdf can also be dragged and dropped into the pictures panel. We will look at some improvements for multimedia applications in future versions.

Sources can be attributed to ´Pictures´ also.

Regards,
Warwick.

Hello Warwick,
Thanks for your reply and assistance. Yes, that approach works.

Your program is terrific. I am very pleased with it.

The support you provide is wonderful.

Some additional functionality for multimedia applications would be cool!
thanks again,
Jeff
