I purchased a new MacBook Pro & transferred all my info over from my old one. Now when I attempt to open a file in pictures I get a message "Unable to find the file:/Users/Jackmilne/iFamilyData/Pictures. Has anyone had this problem & solved it without having to replace all their pictures?

Hi Jack,

Thanks for the details. Assuming you still have your iFamilyData folder in your user home directory, is your user home directory still called Jackmilne. I have found from experience that these usernames are changed sometimes when people do their upgrades.

Please confirm and I will sort out a way to replace all the references in your database. If the cause is something else we can work from there.

Warwick.

A helpful reply has value for years. I was able to address a Pictures issue on my iFamily by referring to this old post. Thank you to “elmwood” for posting the question and to Warwick for answering it!
