Can't enter event dates
This morning I've tried adding a couple of new events and even though I know the correct dates for each of them iFamily keeps telling me that the dates are invalid. Any suggestions please

Re: Can't enter event dates
Thanks for reaching out, a couple of others have mentioned this issue also. Some brainiac at apple has changed the library for the English short month names, and Sep is now Sept from macOS 12.3 forwards. I’m sure they had their reasons, but this appears to be policy by committee, or by whim, which is never a good feature for a platform.
I will code a workaround into the next version, but for now you’ll have to remember to use “sept” when typing dates in.
Thanks,
Warwick.

Re: Can't enter event dates
Hello Warwick
Thanks for the update - Ive just tried entering a date as 2 Sept 1884 and 2 September 1884 and I still get the message that its an invalid date - the brainiacs at Apple may be clever but no common sense
Kind regards

Re: Can't enter event dates
Hi
Looks like we have to wait for the update as although the Sep date shows in the data entry box it doesn’t go into the database.
I’d suggest that until the update is available dates in September should be put in as’ aft 31 Aug yyyy’ where yyyy is the year and the correct date entered in the notes or comment section.
A search later will find the relevant entries for fixing.
Fingers crossed it isn’t too long.

Re: Can't enter event dates
That's what I'm doing Nigel, but I'm also creating a "ToDo" for each one so that i'll be able to find them all at a later date.
