Ancestor & Descendant Reports Not Working

Hi All,

I'm trying to generate some reports for my cousins. I always used to be able to do very detailed Ancestors or Descendants reports showing all relatives and including events, notes and sources. This morning no matter what I do the reports come out as "one liners"

Any suggestions as to what I do to get the reports I want

Hi,

Just tested on M! Mac with Monterey & Intel mac with Mojave to get a different result from yours.

My reports are multi line with Notes and Comments but have other issues:

Such as:

Each generation is called Root Person's xG Grandfather (odd as root was female)

Also, Each persons name is . Name rather than 1. Name etc (other than Root which is 1.) whereas it should be no number for Root and then increasing number for each generation down.

Either way the reporting is broken though I don't know why you have a different report issue - one for Warwick I think.

Thanks for your input - I'll email Warwick but I don't hold out any hopes of a fix as he never seems to have time to do anything.

Hi,

Just tested on other report selections to try and get a single line report without Source, Comments or Notes but it just generated the same report as before.

So, it seems not to respect the selected options - but yours defaulted to a different report set. Odd.

I will try other things to see if they make a difference.

Hi,

Tried Ancestor and Ancestor by Generation and they seem OK.

Tried Descendant report again and managed to create a Single line repot of the same (wrong) format as you had.

Then, it would not generate the multiline report again so I believe the options are not being correctly read.

Also, the generation IDs (the numbers 1, 2, 3 etc) are not being used as the root person is 1 and the others are NULL or '.'

Hence it is broken and needs emergency treatment.

Thanks for letting me know that at least I'm not the only one with problems.

I emailed Warwick last week after my initial post and included the 2 screenshots - I've not heard anything back!

Until Warwick sits up and takes notice it looks like as far as reports go we are stuffed

Hi Enid,

I will be fixing these reports in the next version, but I am struggling for time around work at the moment.

Hopefully by the end of next month work will quiet down and I can dedicate a week to iFamily. My wife is also about to take six months of Long Service Leave from her teaching so my parenting may perceptibly let up also, (or am I dreaming on that one?).
