Keith,

I have recently returned to Macintosh after eight years and have been very impressed and pleased with iFamily for Tiger. I have not been able to figure out how to change all the surnames in a database to all CAPs. Is it possible? Thanks in advance.

Surnames as All CAPS

In the Preferences panel you need to turn on the option for " Family Name All Caps" . There is no batch function within iFamily to automatically change all Family names to all caps. The simplest way to change existing family names to all caps is to:
  • Activate the People Index and sort it.
  • Scroll through the names and edit each one in the field under the table of names.
In V2.351 I have added a new menu option People - Edit Family Names that allows you to edit each family name one at a time. It also allows you to change all family names to uppercase or to capitalise them.
