Merging grandparents

I am not quiite sure, from you description, what you have in your database - but you can:

Right Click on a ghost box and then select " Attach Existing Person as a New Parent" - does that help you join them all up?

Or, if the grandparents are already duplicated, then you may need to use File - Compare and Merge - Merge two people within the current database. This process can be tricky to do because a whole line of ancestors may be duplicated and it can be very difficult to decide who should be kept and who should be deleted.

In either case make a backup of the database (*.FtkSql) file first.

Let us know some more detail - or send me a copy of the database for inspection.

Keith
