I cannot work out whether I can or cannot totally delete someone once I disconnect them from the family I've put them in (totally by mistake).
I add a couple of kids to a family, move on and do a whole lot of other things, so apple z is not going to do it for me. I want to totally take these added kids out of the data base. Can I do it or am I missing something?
Can I do it in the merge area where it lets you delete say left hand side?
Cheers

BTW: In my own version of iFamily for Tiger I have some special menu options that are never in the release version that is sent to customers. One of these is called " Remove All Unconnected People" . Should I include this function in the release version of iFamily for Tiger?
Cheers

At the RH end of the Toolbar there is a search field.
1. Click on the small disclosure button at the LH end of the search field in the toolbar.
2. Select Unconnected People
3. Select the person you want to remove. He/she will now be the focal person of the diagram.
4. Click on the Focal Person's box.
5. Press the Delete [x] button.
As an alternative to steps 4 and 5 you can Right click on the Focal Person and select the pop-up menu option for Delete.
iFamily for Tiger will now select the previous Focal Person and redraw the diagram.

Thanks for the info, will do today. Sounds like the little of Remove or delete all Unconnected Person you have in your version would be a great function for iFamily. Sometimes I just go 'oops, buggar' and need to someone, even if its just because someone gives me new information and I find out later its not right.
Thanks
Annie

Looks like we need a 'tongue in cheek' smiley button.annemac wrote: So simple, I cannot work out how I could miss it.
