There is a known problem with the upgrade on earlier versions of iFamily. We are currently working to fix this.jkolata wrote:After a disc crash, I purchased a new computer and restored files from
backup. iFamily (v 2.423) now gives a warning message that the
program is not in the home directory. (It is, but my home directory
on the new computer has a different name). The program does load,
though, and seems to work perfectly except that now I can't download
new versions since I have "no permissions to read the file"....
If you are currently running a version of iFamily prior to v2.443, you will need to download the latest version of the *.dmg install file for v2.500, whenceupon the upgrade process will again work smoothly. An email was sent on 10th October from Keith, but it may have been eaten by spam filters for some recipients, (Due to the fact that it is a multiple mailout). Please contact iFamily for a download link for the new version if this is a problem.
