Comments on citations

I use iFamily for Leopard for my home computer genealogy database and export GEDCOMS for TNG. I use a lot of notes on citations, especially for census records. For an entry from, say, the 1870 census, each citation will have a note like "age 11, birthplace IL".

iFamily GEDCOMS stash those notes as NOTE items. Here's an example:

When TNG imports this, it loses the actual text of the note and replaces it with with the note number. Here's a link to Norman's entry on my site:

Is this a problem with iFamily's export or TNG's import? Is this something that can be fixed?

I have experienced similar issues and have wondered the same. Thus, I too would appreciate insight into this. (I was exporting to a different program, but similar issues.)

I'm still occasionally not completely literate when it comes to the ins and outs of the Gedcom Specification, most of my time is spent battling apples' syntax. Apparently neither iFamily nor TNG are at fault here.
[quote="Darrin"]As for this problem, the issue is that TNG is apparently not supporting that “referenceâ€
