Currently, one needs to be attached to the internet. Would the file size grow too drastically if one allowed an option to cache an image of the map (even at a low resolution)? This may be useful when working offline or when sharing with others. Only one image per location would be needed (for those selected), not per person. If this would be incorporated, one might want to add an option to globally kill the cache.

Saving Map Images to iFamily
Hi Al
In V2.327 (and later) the following has been automated - press the Save Image button and the map is saved as a picture for each person involved in an event at that place.
You can also save a copy a Google Map as an image to a Person in iFamily as follows:
To use your iPhone to access the Google Maps data for iFamily:

You can also save a copy a Google Map as an image to a Person in iFamily as follows:
- In Google Maps adjust the map the way you want it to look.
- Hold down Control+Command+Shift and then press the 4 key on your main keypad.
- Swipe the area of interest - the screen image is now in your clipboard (at screen resolution)
- Close the Google Maps dialog
- Right click on the Pictures pane or on a person in the Context Diagram
- Select Paste Image from the pop-up menu.
To use your iPhone to access the Google Maps data for iFamily:
- Set up a Google account.
- Save the geocode data to your online Google account.
- Use your iPhone to access the maps in your Google account.
