Project View for reporting

Post by torsten » Sun May 24, 2009 9:40 am

Hi,
I am now playing with iFamily for a couple of days and have just purchased it - it is a great program, easy to learn and very powerful. It caused me to bring my dormant gedcom file from the old PC days to new life on the mac - well and to revive my interest in the family&#39s history.

I came across the project view as a good tool to create subsets of people with a powerful funtionality to logically combine the views. However, what I got from the posts here is, that it can only be used to highlight the subset in the context pane. It would be great, if this subset could be used also as a base for the reports or for the generation of html files.
Of course, as mentioned in other posts, being able to add people to a project view based on places, sources, todos, filters ... would be nice, but primarily I would like to use the output.

Thanks for doing a great job - it is worth every $!
Torsten.
